The Hudson Valley Museum of Contemporary art in Peekskill, NY, went through an extensive rebrand in 2018. The following case study explores the development of a new visual identity that was contemporary, unique, and representative of the Hudson Valley region it calls home.
The logo was created by using 3D polygon meshes generated by computer animation programs, indicative of the contemporary art forms the museum embraces.
The blue in the logo comes from the blue waters of Peekskill Bay on the Hudson River.
